Online Seminar Sheds Light on Aviation Career Paths at Balıkesir University
On April 28, 2026, at 16:00, an online seminar was held for students of the Career Planning course, moderated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yeşim Kurt, a faculty member at Balıkesir University Edremit School of Civil Aviation.
The event hosted Ömer Şentuna, an Instructor Captain Pilot working at a commercial airline, as the guest speaker. The seminar focused on the career pathway from a degree in Aviation Management to becoming a pilot, and eventually advancing to the position of an instructor captain.
During the session, the guest speaker shared his academic and professional experiences related to the aviation sector, providing insights into the requirements of the profession, career progression, and opportunities within the industry. Students also had the opportunity to ask questions about pursuing a career in piloting.
