Aviation Management
In our country, the aviation sector has become competitive with other transportation sectors in passenger and cargo transportation worldwide, thanks to major investments made in recent years. For this reason, there has been a significant increase in the number of airlines, ground handling services, airports, and other aviation-related institutions and organizations.
Companies operating in the aviation sector require qualified personnel who, within their management approach, have a solid understanding of aviation standards and requirements, possess sufficient skills in management and organization, can adapt to the dynamics of the aviation industry, and have a broad vision.
The purpose of the Aviation Management Department at Edremit School of Civil Aviation is to train qualified personnel, in line with the demands of the civil aviation sector and its institutions, organizations, and authorities, by combining aviation and management disciplines, and thus prepare them for the industry. In this respect, our graduates have employment opportunities across all stakeholders in the aviation sector as well as in related industries.
The Aviation Management Department admits 60 students each year. Educational activities in our department are carried out by 2 associate professors and 3 assistant professors. In addition, when necessary, experienced technical staff from other units of our university and from aviation-related institutions and organizations also deliver lectures in our department.
Our graduates have the opportunity to work at Turkish Airlines Inc., State Airports Authority, private airline companies, airports, ground handling service providers, catering and cargo companies, as well as other aviation organizations.
