New UAV Pilots Completed Their Training in Edremit

The UAV-1 Commercial Pilot Training was conducted by the Continuing Education Application and Research Center of Balıkesir University, hosted by the Edremit School of Civil Aviation, between April 16–19, 2026.The training program was delivered by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Seyhun Durmuş, Dr. Bülent Kurt, and Dr. Gülaçtı Şen. Participants were provided with comprehensive instruction on UAV technologies and operations.

The theoretical courses covered topics such as aviation law and responsibilities, principles of flight, meteorology, ATC procedures, navigation and operations, control systems, as well as propulsion and avionics systems.The 36-hour training program was supported by practical flight applications, contributing to the development of participants’ skills in effectively operating rotary-wing UAVs. At the end of the training, participants were awarded a DGCA-approved UAV-1 Commercial Drone Pilot License, a Basic Radio Communication Training Certificate, and a Certificate of Participation
