GRADUATION CELEBRATION AT EDREMIT SCHOOL OF CIVIL AVIATION

The 2025–2026 Academic Year Graduation Ceremony of Balıkesir University Edremit School of Civil Aviation was held on Friday, June 12, 2026, with strong participation.

The ceremony was attended by the Governor of Edremit District, Ahmet Odabaş; Deputy Mayor of Edremit, Cavit Cebeci; Vice Rectors of Balıkesir University, Prof. Dr. Cevdet Avcıkurt, Prof. Dr. Fatih Satıl, and Prof. Dr. Murat Doğdubay; the Director of Edremit School of Civil Aviation, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Sarıoğlan; as well as academic and administrative staff, students, and their families.

The program began with a moment of silence and the recitation of the Turkish National Anthem, followed by protocol speeches.

In his address, the Director of the School, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Sarıoğlan, congratulated all graduates and emphasized that they had been equipped not only with professional knowledge and skills, but also with ethical values, a strong sense of responsibility, and leadership qualities. He expressed his confidence that the graduates would successfully represent both their university and their country in the civil aviation sector.

In the protocol speeches, attention was drawn to the continuously growing and developing structure of the civil aviation industry, and it was emphasized that graduates would constitute an important part of the qualified workforce required by the sector.

Within the scope of the ceremony, certificates of achievement and awards were presented to the top-performing students by protocol members. In addition, all graduates were awarded their diplomas, celebrating their dedication and accomplishments throughout their academic journey.

One of the most memorable moments of the ceremony was the traditional cap-throwing celebration, during which graduates joyfully tossed their caps into the air together. These moments, shared with their families, created a colorful and emotional atmosphere.
