ESHYO Academics Participated in the 50th Anniversary Events
The academic staff of Balıkesir University Edremit School of Civil Aviation took part in the panel and fair events organized within the scope of the 50th anniversary celebrations of Balıkesir Vocational School.
Deputy Director Ebru Bağcı and Department Head Dr. Gülaçtı Şen attended the events, where academic knowledge sharing and opportunities for collaboration with the industry were highlighted.
As part of the program, the academic study titled “Women’s Entrepreneurship in Balıkesir: An Evaluation in Terms of Regional Development Policies”, co-authored by Dr. Gülaçtı Şen—who is also a Board Member of the Balıkesir Businesswomen’s Association (BAİKAD)—and BAİKAD President and our School’s advisory board member Oya Hansu Çolak, drew significant attention. This study received the Best Paper Award at the 11th International Congress on Entrepreneurship and Social Sciences in 2025 and was showcased at the BAİKAD stand.
The panel and fair events provided a productive platform for sharing academic work and fostering collaborations aimed at regional development, once again demonstrating Balıkesir University’s vision of scientific and social contribution.
