Balıkesir University Completes UAV1 Commercial Pilot Training

Balıkesir University's Continuing Education Application and Research Center held UAV-1 Commercial Pilot Training at the Edremit Civil Aviation College from November 6 to 9. The training program was conducted by Assoc. Prof. Seyhun Durmuş, Dr. Bülent Kurt, and Dr. Gülaçtı Şen. Participants were provided with comprehensive content on UAV technologies and operations.

Theoretical lessons covered topics such as aviation law and responsibilities, flight principles, meteorology, ATC procedures, navigation and operations, control systems, propulsion, and avionics systems. The 36-hour training program was supported by practical flight applications, enabling candidates to develop their skills in effectively using rotary-wing UAVs. At the end of the training, participants were awarded the SHGM-approved UAV-1 Commercial Drone Pilot License, Basic Radio Communication Training Certificate, and Certificate of Participation.
