Our faculty member, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Seyhun Durmuş, delivered a talk titled “How Do Airplanes Fly?” on May 15, 2026, at two different schools in Bursa as part of the TÜBİTAK Science Talks program. A total of 80 students from Karacabey Secondary School and 210 students from Bursa Central Anatolian Imam Hatip High School attended the event.
During the talk, the fundamental principles of flight and basic knowledge about aircraft were explained in a clear, engaging, and age-appropriate manner. Throughout the event, 15 different interactive experiments were conducted to encourage active student participation and make the learning process enjoyable. The students had the opportunity not only to learn theoretical concepts but also to gain hands-on experience through practical activities. This event successfully raised awareness and sparked curiosity and interest in aviation among the students.
