A TUBITAK Science Talk by Our Academic

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Seyhun Durmuş delivered a talk titled “How Do Airplanes Fly?” on April 28, 2026, as part of the TÜBİTAK Science Talks program at two different schools in Çanakkale. A total of 50 students from Şehit Kıvanç Kaşıkçı Imam Hatip Secondary School and 130 students from Gelibolu Science High School attended the event.

During the talk, the fundamental principles of flight and basic aircraft knowledge were presented in a clear, engaging, and level-appropriate manner. Throughout the event, 15 different interactive experiments were conducted to encourage active student participation and make the learning process more enjoyable.

Students had the opportunity to gain both theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience during the event. This activity successfully raised awareness of aviation among students while also sparking their curiosity and interest.
